Preparation time: 30 mins Serves 4 Ingredients: Small onions – 10 nos.cut in halves Garlic – 6 to 8 cloves Tomato – 1 big finely chopped  Curry leaves – 1 sprig Red cow peas – 1 cup Tamarind – pulp of 1 lemon size ball Chittinad sambar powder – 4 table spoons Coriander powder – 2 tablespoons Turmeric powder Oil – 3 table spoons Salt to taste For seasoning: Jeera – 1 teaspoon Sauf – ½ teaspoon Black pepper – 1 teaspoon Hing – ¼ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds – ½ teaspoon Procedure: Dry roast the peas in a heavy bottom vessel until the aroma comes out. In a cooker add the peas and 1½ cups water and cook it for 4 whistles or until its soft. Keep a pan on the stove, add oil and when its warm and ready add the seasoning. When it starts to splutter add curry leaves, turmeric and fry till the raw smell goes. Sambar is a simple dish which everyone makes almost daily for breafast. So here is a simple recipe which is delicious yet with less spices and made with natural ingredients instead of using sambar powder. The aroma of this sambar fills the house and makes you eat more idlies or dosas just for the taste of the sambar :) Let's get going with the recipe: Preparation time:  20 mins. Preparation: 40 mins Serves 5 Ingredients: Chicken-3/4 kg Small onions-30 nos.(peeled) Tomato(big)-1 chopped  Garlic-10 big cloves (peeled) Curry leaves-2 sprigs Turmeric powder-1 teaspoon Sesame oil-4 tablespoons Chettinad masala powder-5 spoons Salt to taste  Coriander sprigs for garnish  To grind: Coconut- 1/4 scraped To season: Jeera-1 spoon Black pepper-1 spoon Methi seeds-1/4 teaspoon(optional) Cinnamon-1/2 inch -2 pieces Bay leaf- 1 small To make fresh chettinad masala powder: Red chilli - 16 nos Coriander seeds-4 tablespoons Cumin seeds- 2 teaspoon Fennel seeds- 2 teaspoon Channa dal - 2 teaspoon Raw rice - 2 teaspoon Dry roast all these items and dry grind them. Preparation time: 10 minutes Serves 4 Ingredients: 2 whole apple 2 big bananas Sugar - 8 tablespoons Or Honey 5 tablespoons vanilla ice cream - 4 scoops ice cubes(optional) Preparation: Peal and rough chop the fruits Add it to a blender run it once .. coarsely Now add sugar or honey.. of your choice Now puree it smoothly. Add ice cubes and serve it. Note: A good midday snack which will lighten your mood. if you like mint, you can add a few sprigs to give a nice zest to the smoothie.

Preparation time :30 minutes This recipe gives about 10 -12 rasagullas Ingredients needed : 1. Homemade paneer 2.Sooji 1/2 tablespoon 3.Sugar 11/2 cups 4.water 4 cups 5.rose essence- 1 tea spoon 6. Preparation time:  30 mins. Serves 4 Ingredients Spinach 1 big bunch Paneer 200 gms Water - 1/2 cup Cashews 4 to 5 pieces Onion - 1 big Tomato - 1 medium   Green chilly - big 2 nos. Garlic-4 to 5 big cloves Jeera - 1 teaspoon Corriander powder - 2 table spoons Chilly  powder - 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon Preparation: Clean and wash the spinach thoroughly. In a vessel, add the cleaned spinach, green chilli, and cashews with water and cook for 7 to 8 minutes. Then cool it down to room temperature. Finely chop onion, tomato and garlic.
