The word cookie comes from the Dutch word meaning 'little cake'. The first cookie invented was the 'Pizelle' , which was also known as the Italian wafer cookie since they originated in Italy. Then they became popular all over Europe and now you can make your own homemade cookies in your kitchen with this delicious and fun recipe. Preparation time :50 minutes Serves - 40 cookies  Ingredients : All purpose flour-2 3/4 cups Baking soda-1 teaspoon Baking powder-1/2 teaspoon Butter-1 cup(softened) Eggs-2 Sugar-1 cup Brown sugar-1/2 cup Vanilla extract-1 teaspoon Chocolate chips-to garnish Preparation : Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Sieve all the dry ingredients(except sugar) into a mixing bowl. In another mixing bowl, take butter and eggs. Beat them in medium speed until they are fluffy. Now add sugar and vanilla extract into it and mix well. Thoothuvilai is a very good for cold and cough.Today in my garden I had fresh thoothuvilai so I thought of making this recipe. During this lockdown I thought of sharing this recipe with you all as this will boost your immunity.Here goes the recipe...let's go! Preparation time: 20 mins Serves 4 Ingredients: Thoothuvilai-1 bunch (small)/1 packet if its store bought Onion-1 big Tomato-1 cup Tamarind- 1 inch piece Green chilly-4 Coconut-1/4th Salt to taste For seasoning: Split urad dal-1/4 teaspoon Mustard-1/4 teaspoon Channa dal-1 tbsp. Hing-2 pinches Preparation: Wash and chop the ingredients as shown in the picture below Pour oil and heat it, when it is hot, add the seasonings, when they splutter add the onion, tamarind, and green chilly, then fry.
