Pudhina Thuvaiyal
Since many of my friends were asking for side dish ideas, I came up with this simple post. Hope it helps you in the kitchen when you are bored out with your usual recipes.
Preparation time:
20 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients:
Pudhina-1/2 bunch
Onion-1 big
tomato-1 medium
oil-2 tablespoons
coconut-1/4 chunked
green chili-4
red chili-1
tamarind-1 inch piece
salt to taste
For seasoning:
Split urad dal-1 tablespoon
Mustard-1/2 tablespoon
Channa dal-1 tablespoon
hing-2 pinches
Preparation:
When it splutters, add onion and fry till it turns transparent, next add tamarind, green and red chilies, tomatoes and fry till the tomatoes become mushy.
Add mint add saute till the raw smell is gone.
Switch off the flame and let it cool down.
Your pudhina thovaiyal is ready to be served with dosa or idly or idiyappan maavu roti.
